Lawn Renovation
Across the Lower Mainland, the #1 reason lawns end up needing renovation is grubs living in the soil. Crows and raccoons dig up your lawn to get at them — and the grass, roots and all, gets ripped out with it, sometimes in a single morning. Once the turf is torn up, mowing and fertiliser can't bring it back. Renovation is the fix: we rake out the wreckage, level it, and grow a new lawn in its place. Every renovation includes 1 yard of soil for top dressing so the seed mixes in; extra soil is $199/yard if your lawn needs more.

The #1 cause here: grubs
Grubs in the soil bring crows and raccoons, and they tear the lawn apart getting to them. We power rake out the damage, haul the dead grass away, level, reseed with premium seed and 1 yard of soil included for top dressing. Extra soil $199/yard if needed.
Crows dug it up. Grubs are why.
Free on-site assessment · 2-person crew · 1–2 daysAcross the Lower Mainland, grubs are the #1 reason lawns need renovating. The grubs — beetle larvae living in the soil — feed on grass roots. Crows and raccoons can tell they're there, so they dig: turf flipped over, dirt everywhere. One morning the lawn looks fine; the next it looks like someone rolled it up.
Once the turf is torn up and the roots are gone, mowing and fertiliser can't bring it back. That's when renovation is the fix — we rake out the wreckage, haul it away, and grow a new lawn in its place.

Strips of turf flipped over and dug-up dirt across the lawn. That's grub damage — the birds and raccoons are digging for the grubs underneath, and the lawn comes up with them.

Weeds are winning the space where grass used to grow — a sign the lawn is too weak to compete on its own.

Thin, patchy areas that never fill in, no matter how much seed you throw at them.

Moss creeping across the lawn, especially in shaded and damp spots — common all over the Lower Mainland.

Water pools on top instead of soaking in. Roots can't breathe, so grass thins out and weeds move in.

We come out, walk the lawn with you, and tell you honestly whether it needs renovation — and exactly what it will take.

We power rake and hard rake the lawn to pull up thatch, moss and dead grass that's smothering the lawn underneath.

All the dead grass and debris we rake up is collected and taken away — the lawn is left clean and ready for the next step.

Every renovation includes 1 yard of soil, spread as top dressing so the seed mixes with the soil and takes hold — it also levels low spots and gives the new seed a proper bed. Need more than 1 yard? Extra soil is $199/yard, confirmed at the free assessment.

We apply seed starter and spread fresh seed across the lawn so the new grass germinates and establishes thick and strong.

We finish by rolling the lawn to press the seed firmly into the soil — good seed-to-soil contact is what makes it take hold.

Visible results in 3–6 weeks as the new seed germinates and thickens in. Like any new lawn, it keeps improving from there.

Seed only. The right call when your lawn is thin or patchy but otherwise healthy — soil in decent shape, moss under control, grass still covering most of the yard.
$1,499 for 2,000 sq ft + GST
The complete reset: power raking and hard raking, dead grass hauled away, leveling, premium seed plus starter fertiliser, finished with rolling — done by a 2-person crew in 1–2 days. Includes 1 yard of soil for top dressing — extra soil $199/yard if needed. For lawns where seed alone can't fix heavy moss, built-up thatch and bare patches.
